The IUB offices will be closed Monday, May 29, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. We will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday, May 30.

Customer Rights & Responsibilities

Each natural gas and electric utility must provide a copy of the "Customer Rights and Responsibilities" with the disconnect notice or door posting.

Customer Rights and Responsibilities can be found in the following IUB rules chapters in the Iowa Administrative Code (IAC):

  • 199 IAC chapter 19 - Service Supplied by Gas Utilities
  • 199 IAC chapter 20 - Service Supplied by Rate-Regulated Electric Utilities
  • 199 IAC chapter 21 - Service Supplied by Water, Sanitary Sewer, and Storm Water Drainage Utilities
  • 199 IAC chapter 27 - Regulation of Electric Cooperatives and Municipal Electric Utilities Under Iowa Code Chapter 476
